The great Ford Fiesta team in Philadelphia is the lone Ford Fiesta Movement standout this week.
Go visit their awesome website, Geekadelphia.
This week they highlighted their upcoming pre-screening event of Prince of Persia in June 2010. Most importantly, the world premiere of Fiesta Day.

Beechmont Ford relentlessly works to improve their relationships with their customers. Beechmont Ford surveys their customers daily to truly understand their needs and surpass their expectations. The staff attends ongoing training sessions to educate themselves on the latest product enhancements to provide exemplary customer experiences. They also meet with various Ford Motor Company employees to increase their market share and positioning.
Recently, Andy Warner, Internet Sales Director at LorMar Auto Group interviewed Mark Banfield, Product Trainer for Ford Motor Company. Mark openly shared Ford’s upcoming plans for 2010 and 2011. Mark impressed on the team what the customer truly needs and how Beechmont Ford can be there for the customer. The interview enlightened the Beechmont Ford team to their strengths in the market and working with customers. The interview also helped the team learn areas where they can improve that much more to surpass their customers’ expectations.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share, Mark. We look forward to more of your training sessions.
Andy Warner (AW): What is your role with Ford Motor Company?
Mark Banfield (MB): I am a Product Trainer focusing on new vehicle introductions with some Sync training.
AW: How is Ford improving their product line?
MB: First, by focusing on what the customer wants and needs. Buying a vehicle today is more than just needing 4 wheels. It’s also about quality that will last and the tech to allow them to do what’s needed while driving.
AW: How is the Beechmont Ford sales team improving their customer service?
MB: Well, I would say by fully partaking in the training available to them to enhance their knowledge to better consult with customers. Better trained and more knowledgeable sales staffs succeed.
MB: First, we need to be careful labeling Ford as a just a truck company that also sells cars. It is a company providing vehicles to meet a wide range of needs. I see Ford heading into a diverse future, one that requires both B cars and Super Duty trucks, and everything in between. It is also a global company and as such, will take the best of it’s far reaching areas to provide quality product to all. The Fiesta is the first vehicle of that vision.
MB: By aiming marketing to the segment, unlike the past where it was more of a one size fits all. For Beechmont to succeed into the future, they need to do the same. Use ALL of the resources available. TV, radio, and newspapers are still the best medium for certain customers. On the other hand, Facebook and Twitter, not to mention texting, need to be the method for others. Whether you call it go with the flow, or change with the tide, adaptability is the key to tomorrow’s leadership.
AW: What are Ford’s strengths and/or weaknesses in comparison to the competition?
MB: The easiest to see is the foresight Ford management had in getting started early to head off the crisis GM and Chrysler went through. Ford may have caught some flack for it, but it’s allowed them to not only have great, state of the art vehicles now and in the pipeline for the forseeable future, it allowed them to do it without needing the government’s assistance. The only weakness I see is the one that affects all of us, does success make us “fat and comfortable’? The hope I always have is that we learn from our past to make a better future.
The Fiesta Movement was back this week. The past two weeks were abysmal–little content, no content, horrible content–you name it, the blogosphere experienced it the past two weeks. We are happy and pleased to say that the blogosphere came back with some strong posts about the 2011 Ford Fiesta. From hip-hop events to an emotional goodbye letter, this week’s Ford Fiesta movement recap had it all.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!
The Valley PR blog begins this week’s recap. They were proud, as most passionate city supporters are, of natives being seen on the national stage in a positive light, let alone the world wide web. The folks in Phoenix are no exception. Charlotte Shaff at the Valley PR wrote a brief bio, congratulatory note and status update of Phoenix natives, Austin Baker and Sunny Thaper, aka Team Phoenix. If you are reading this in Tempe, stop by the Cartel Coffee Lab tonight. Team Phoenix will be celebrating completion of their first mission starting at 7pm.
The completion of Team Phoenix’s first mission unveils a mural created by Jeremie Lederman, aka the Big Red Ape. Jeremie was a bit put-off by his friends asking for his help with completion of their first mission at the last minute. But, Jeremie definitely stepped in and helped his friends complete mission one with style. Here are some images of the completed project. Way to go, Jeremie!
Creative Casualties was commissioned with creating the videos for Team San Diego. Their first video release for the team, aka The Finished Product, is quite impressive. Team San Diego traveled throughout parts of San Diego on a scavenger hunt. This scavenger hunt is a great visibility event for the 2011 Ford Fiesta and just a plain, good-old fashioned time for the members of Team San Diego.
Team Miami released the second Ford Fiesta video this week. A quick improvisation of the classic movie Carface, aka Scarface. There are quite a few Little Havana and South Beath locations viewed in this video. See how many you can find.
We end this week with M.G. Buehrlen’s fond fairwell to her 2011 Ford Fiesta. M.G. will return her Fiesta to Ford at the end of April. M.G. was so upset with this upcoming event that she started listing the fun and memorable times she had with her 2011 Fiesta. Definitely a fun list of bright days she shared with her vehicle.
See you next week!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the convertibles are down and we believe the snow is officially gone!
Welcome Spring!
The blogosphere was light this week regarding the Ford Fiesta Movement. We know last week we hoped for more stories, but unfortunately, we cannot deliver much to you this week. (Keep your fingers crossed for next week)
Based on the results from the last two weeks, we are going to change this week’s format slightly.
First, we will share with you the one noteworthy event discussed in the blogosphere regarding the Ford Fiesta Movement. Then, a video recap of our upcoming Drive One 4 Your School campaign with Glen Este High School in Cincinnati, OH, follows. Lastly, we provided a sneak peak of our new and first 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty we received. Check them out!
Thanks again for tuning in this week. Enjoy the ride!
Hilary McHone, current Ford Fiesta agent, toured southern California with Todd Haselton, formerly of Laptop Magazine. Todd shared with Hilary the many “cool” gadgets someone can add to their vehicle. Be careful–Remember–No texting while driving.
Zach Kushner and Brittany Iredale share an update on the Drive One 4 Your School campaign. We look forward to seeing you May 15, 2010, from 9am to 5pm at Glen Este High School.
Lastly, the first 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty at Beechmont Ford in Cincinnati, OH. Come check out the actual model or view more product information about it.

Your weekly recap is back with another edition. The weekend started with snow this morning, but should hopefully have some nice weather for Saturday and possible rain Sunday.
Nonetheless… here we go…
Autoblog, the premier automotive blog, was the first to release spy shots of the 2011 Ford Fiesta with Ecoboost. Many bloggers followed the remainder of the week with their version, but they were merely copies of this quick and informative article. The Fiesta with Ecoboost will definitely be a fun car to drive. The “original” North American 2011 Ford Fiesta boasts impressive race numbers for a B-car. Now, imagine a Taurus SHO engine in a Ford Fiesta. Exciting, fun and scary.
Our favorite team of the second Ford Fiesta Movement is Team Philly, aka Geekadelphia. They shared the results of their first mission, a mural showcasing all the fun events in Philadelphia. We did not know you could cram all that information on an image and make it look awesome!
Now, contrast the Philadelphia mural mission of 2010 with the Philadelphia scavenger hunt mission of 2009. Which team receives your vote for most creative. Rocky or Picasso?
The last Ford Fiesta Movement piece that caught our attention this week was from the west coast. (Yes, there was an east coast v. west coast theme this week) Some what clever, but definitely not as original as the scavenger hunt. (Yes, we voted for Rocky and not Picasso). Classical car buffs will love this piece. The 2011 Ford Fiesta spends time with its classic car predecessors with the Ford Fiesta west coast team. Check it out!
That’s it folks! A rather short information week this time around. Stay tuned for next week. There will be more to come!
