Thank you for a wonderful 2009

Beechmont Ford customers and all Ford owners, THANK YOU!  2009 started involved a tremendous amount of uncertainty, apprehension and fear.  Should we take bail out money?  Should we not?  Stock prices plummeted and unemployment rose.  Consumer confidence lessened each and every day with more and more stories of bankruptcy and corruption.  Standing strong in times of hardship, believing in our customers and believing in the quality of the Ford brand kept us moving forward.

Some highlights of 2009 included:

• The 2010 new Ford model lineup event
• A visit from Cincinnati Bengals defensive end, Antwan Odom
• A sneak peak at the 2011 Ford Fiesta
• The government sponsored Cash for Clunkers program
• Ford Motor Company training our team on new enhancements to the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

Most importantly, we would like to thank our customers for helping us finish 71st in the nation for new retail Ford vehicle sales.  Beechmont Ford could not have been as successful for the past 15 years without your continued support.  You supported us for many years in the past, during the economic challenges of 2009 and we look forward to serving you during the rebound of 2010.

2010 brings high hopes and optimism.  The equity Ford holds in its name is the highest of all domestic brands.  Consumer interest and customer loyalty keeps climbing.

Ford Motor Company Sales Numbers from September

Check out the sales numbers for Ford Motor Company from September 2009.

• For the full 3^rd quarter, Ford Lincoln Mercury sales increased 5%, making Ford the only full-line manufacturer to report an increase and this is the first quarterly year-over-year increase in four years.

• 2010 Ford Fusion retail sales were up 3% from a year ago (compared to a retail industry decrease of 21%).  This is six months in a row of increasing numbers for Fusion.

• Retail sales for the 2010 Ford Taurus were up 79% from a year ago and up 24% from last month.

• Ford F-Series retail sales were up 1% year-over-year and total sales up 4%. F-Series posted back-to-back sales gains (Aug/Sep) for the FIRST TIME IN 3 YEARS.  F-Series segment share was up almost 18 points in September to 39.1%.  Thus, Ford outsold GM pickups (not just Chevrolet, but GMC added in) by over 6,000 units.

• With 88 days to go in the Leadership Race, F-Series has a calendar-year-to-date lead over Silverado of 66,038 units.

Dick Barrick was our sales consultant and I can’t begin to convey how wonderful both my husband and I felt about our experience with him.  I have purchased approximately 6 new vehicles from various dealerships, Beechmont Ford, Jeff Wyler, Walt Sweeney and our experience with Dick at Beechmont is hands down over any other.  They just don’t make salesman like Dick anymore!  We purchased a vehicle at Beechmont Ford about 10 years ago and came back there several months ago but just didn’t get the level of service and ultimately did not buy a vehicle.  We decided to give Beechmont another chance as my husband still felt a loyalty to them and we lucked out getting Dick as our salesman.  Those young guys sitting around the desks chit-chatting about their plans for the evening or weekend should take some pointers from Dick.  Not only did we buy the Ford F-150 but a week later we came back and purchased a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport!  I have shared my experience with everyone I know!!!  I must also give some kudos to Janet Mastruserio!  What a remarkable lady!  We both appreciated the time she took to explain every detail to us so we knew what we were agreeing to.  Unfortunately, due to some past debt that we’ve been working on but still dragging our score down.  Janet gave us some pointers to help our score going forward and I have complete confidence she fought hard to get us the most competitive rates she could under the circumstances.  I understand Janet is retiring and really hope that Beechmont Ford finds a way to keep her on a part-time basis and she is a gem!  These are just a few remarks about why we feel strongly about the positive experience we received from Beechmont Ford and I assure you with service like that we will certainly be back!  For now, I’m all over my new Fusion Sport!!!

The 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid has landed in Cincinnati

A few weeks ago we updated you on the status of the 2010 Ford Fusion.

Well, just like we said, the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid has landed in Cincinnati.  Albeit a few weeks later than expected, we have one nonetheless!

The 2010 Fusion is here!  We received our first 2010 Ford Fusion during the weekend!  The vehicle has been completely checked by our service department and is ready for immediate delivery.  Check out all of the photos here!
